Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior I got a COI

I have the Injen COI. It is pretty well exposed to te elements. How often should I clean or replace it? I know filters are only like, $15 bucks or so. Thanks.

Get a K&N filter.. then you shouldn't have to replace it for a while. Maybe check it after 10,000 miles. I don't know.

a COI!!! That must be new. You probably never have to change or clean those filters. JK. With the CAI, the front side will get dirty before the backside, so I just rotated it after 5,000, and I'll do that every oil change from now on until it looks like it needs a cleaning. Just keep an eye on it.

I recommend cleaning it every 6 months with K&N's recharger kit.
