I know that here in Texas you must have a license plate on both the front and back of the car. But I wonder if I can put my front plate in my windshield, I was thinking of attaching it to the windshield with suction cups, what do you all think? Is it legal?

I'm pretty sure being in the window is ok, I don't even bother with a front one and I haven't gotten hastled about it yet.

I am in Texas and I took my front plate off over 2 years ago, and have never been bothered about it either. Plus, I think it is a "fit it" ticket anyways, meaning all you have to do is put it back on and you can get it dismissed...but I could be wrong.

I live in colorado and i used to always get hasseled by the state patrol for not having my license plate on my car. I had it in my window and they said you cant have it their because it can hurt someone if you were to get into an accident.
I never got a ticket for it just warnings.
I ended up taking it out of the window and mis placing it, so now ill be screwed if they really start comming down on it since i lost it...

the thing is, I don't have the bracket that protects the front bumper. Not only does it look ugly, it's scratching the paint. angry

I THINK IN MOST STATES IT IS ILLEGAL. MY B/F BROTHER HAD HIS REARPLATE IN THE WINDOW AND GOT IN TROUBLE. MY FRIEND JON HAD HIS FRONTPLATE IN THE WINDOW AND GOT IN TORUBLE AS WELL.
