almost everyone that has this kit has a problem with it, you should wait for another kit to come out that is more reliable

no it's not actually. our car's don't weigh very much. With 267 fwhp, our weight to power ratio is 9.5:1.

Yeah, as of yet the XS Turbo has the problems mentioned above. Someone also said that the customer support sucked. I'd wait till either XS get's their stuff fixed, or wait for a good turbo to come out from another company. thumbsup

The only person that experienced bad customer service was Smaay.

it has 250 hp and 183.4 ft.lbs of torque at the wheels it says right on there web site copy from the site

Power Tune System Celica GTS

Using our line of turbochargers, we have designed a series of turbo systems with street driveability in mind and track performance abilities. All of our turbo systems use the highest grade of commercially available hardware and thick walled exhaust tubing to handle the extreme conditions of the street or track. Our research and development department puts these systems to the test before approving them for release so you can be assured that XS Engineering turbo systems will last.

Are you asking yourself, "Why should I buy a turbo system when I can piece one together myself for less?!?"? Well here's why you should buy an engineered turbo system rather than piecing one together yourself:

Our R&D department chooses the turbocharger sizing for the proper application. Do you have the resources or the time to test 5 or 6 turbochargers before choosing the best one for your application?

Our engineers designed exhaust manifolds and all tubing to proper sizes for each application so there's no guess work for you.

All high temperature hoses are silicone and routed away from high temperature areas so you don't have burned or melted hoses because of inexperienced installations.

You don't have to get your parts from 10 different suppliers. Everything you need to install your XS Engineering turbo system comes in the box with instructions.

Our turbo systems are proven. Ask magazine editors, racers, satisfied customers, or come down to our showroom and see for yourself.

Power Tune System Celica GTS

Get ready to boost your Toyota Celica GTS to 241 wheel horsepower with XS Engineering's GTS Turbocharger System. Designed by XS Engineering's research and development team, comes the first truly "complete" turbocharger system for the new body Celica GTS. This complete system consists of a ball bearing IHI VF23 Turbocharger, a huge 24"x11"x3" XS Engineering Power IC, durable cast iron manifold, and APEXi Twin chamber blow off valve. If that wasn't enough, the XS Engineering Celica turbocharger system also comes with full stand alone fuel management, consisting of 504cc injectors, 255lph fuel pump, and an XS Engineering tuned APEXi Power FC. With such a complete turbocharger system, there is no question that XS Engineering can help you truly, "Feel feel the power" of your Celica GTS. Only $4995.00

Baseline:

Max Power = 167.2hp @ 8200 RPM

Max Torque = 122.0ft lbs. @ 7000 RPM

w/ XS Engineering turbocharger system

Max Power = 250.0hp @ 8200 RPM

Max Tourque = 183.4ft. lbs. @ 6600 RPM

Everyone is getting their shorts in a knot over this whole XS thing. The Physical turbocharger kit is and excellent, as listed above. If you read the "XS nightmare" story the malfunctions are a combination of incorrect installation, poor customer follow up service, and a "dud" manifold. In my personal opinion, XS is great. If XS was as bad as everyone thinks it is, you wouldn't be seeing it on the forefront of the aftermarket forced induction industry as well as scattered through numerous articles in Import Tuner and other equally as respectable magazines. I'M going to get the XS-engineering turbocharger kit when it comes time for me to do forced induction. Word of mouth is an extremly powerful thing. Even though someone may not have first hand expirence with someone/somthing they make assumptions based on others "Nightmare" Stories. Granted, that story sucks a lot of ass, but that, unfortunately was just several bad coincidences combined to result in such an outcome. Opinons are good, but they may or may not be accurate.

Knowing the path and choosing the path are two different things.
