I was just checking out Celicas on Ebay Motors last night. There was a brand new 2003 Toyota Celica GTS for 13,000, free shipping anywhere in the U.S., buy it now. It was still sitting on the showroom floor. So just being curious about it, i emailed the seller. They emailed me back and said that all i had to do was send a $2000 dollar deposit and they would send the car to me to try out for 2 weeks, and if i didnt like it, that i could have a refund of my deposit. There is no way that someone would be crazy enough to sell that for 13000. And now, the item is not listed anymore,
does sound too good to be true. theres no way that it could be brand new for $13,000. could be wrong..but thats a little far fetched, no wonder its not listed anymore.
I can almost GUARANTEE that they were out to scam someone. Why else would they all of a sudden take it off, after offering it for such an insane low price!?

Yeah man that's gotta be BS. If I sell my ride right now with everything it would be that price. Depreciation is a bitch.

ditto. my car has about 45k miles on it, its an '00 gts 6 spd and i could sell my car for about $13.
can't beleive that a brand new one would be 13 (when they base at 24k..thats almost 50% off)
For $13k, it's almost surely a salvaged title meaning it has been ruined by flooding or it was totaled in a bad accident and restored.
DON'T BUY IT!
Yep. Most likely not a scam, but rather a fairly fucked up car.
salvaged doesnt necessarily mean bad... some cars that are stolen and found are titled "salvaged" and theu are perfectly fine... just gotta know what you're looking for.

Yeah, unless your buying something on ebay that you could 'lose the money and be ok' like lights, dont get stuff on ebay. Too many horror stories!! A local guy was looking on ebay, and saw a (forget the engine but... "Larger engine, 4X4, airbrushed 9/11 truck" The pictures looks sweet on the net...they said it was in great condition. He bought it, when it was shipped...the 'large engine' was a size down from what it said, the '4x4' was broken, and the 'airbrushed 9/11 art' was vynal.
I wasnt planning on buying it anyways...i already my celica ...I agree that its prolly a scam, theres no way that it could be that cheap, knowing that they could get about 24,000 out of it.
