just pay... people get nailed all the time for tints...

they can measure the % of the tint and tell that you'r lying.

"FREE up to $74" should be allot less $$$ than the amount it would cost you to loose a single day of work, just to go infront of the judge in court.

here is some information for you...

depending on the laws in your area (every area has legal tint levels/percentages). i recall isaac posting this a while back. otherwise, you're pretty much @$$ out. it's basically a "fix-it ticket". take em off, pay the fine and put em back on OR go with a lighter tint, my friend.

my area is supposed to be pretty strict on tint but i have yet to have any cop come up to me about mine, even when i stop next to one once at a stop light. mine's 20%

Just pay the fine & go on your way. Why take them off? That's crazy!

i was just looking at that and what does the medical part mean? and also those number for the f.side (i am assuming that means front side) it says 70 for my stat (NY) does that mean the law is it has to really light or can it be dark cause a lot of other stats are in the 30's? thanks again for help

70 = 70% visable...
Measures the total light transmission of the window tint and glass, after the window tint has been applied to glass

Defines the amount of visible light transmission or VLT required for each window on the specified type of vehicle (car or MPV). This allowed darkness or VLT is usually indicated with a percentage indicating the amount of light that must pass through the window to be legal. Some states are listed as NR, indicating that the law permits unspecified "non-obstructive/restrictive" or "transparent spectrally selective" tinting materials.

...the lower the number, the darker (less visable)

MEDICAL EXEMPTION - refers to whether or not the state allows medical documentation to allow for darker than legal tint for certain medical conditions.

i got pulled over for having it too dark.
But the law is, you can't have anything on the front side windows not matter what.
Just take it off and take the car to the inspection station and pay 20 bucks that's it. And then get a a nother tint for 20 bucks. Its not that much

i've been pulled over 6 different times with an 18% tint up front...

then i completed the exterior of my car and ALWAYS keep it clean... havent been pulled over since November 2002

besides this, I dont drive like a maniac, I watch out for police and pull off the freeway or to the side of the road and wait if I do see one.
