finally got my injen short ram today and i must say, I AM PLEASED. i can't really hear it when at low rpm, but when you hit around the 3K mark, it sounds sweet. and when you turn off your engine, that sweet sound it makes is also sweet. I LOVE IT MAN!
i heard from my friend melissa who owns a acura rsx type s.. that INJEN has made for clubrsx.com.. a special Gun Metal Color tubing.. which seems interesting.. i guess it was a group buy and injen went and designed a special edition for them.. do you think ecelica could get this to happen?
as for Performance gains, i've notice a little bit of difference. (and that's a good thing of course). it would probably be better for a manual but i've got myself an auto (i don't know how to drive stick yet hehehe). but i can hit 3 to 4K rpm easily. and it's smoother too. or maybe it's just me thinkin in the back of my mind that i have an Intake now. but yeah. it's pretty to the eyes and makes the engine bay a lot nicer. it's definitely a plus.
it cost me a $200 flat with shipping included. i actually got it from my friend who asked his brother to get it for me since his brother gets discounts from some place in california.
me and my friend installed it ourselves. mostly my friend though. i'm a newcomer to the car scene. but i'm learning. it didn't take too long, and it wasn't difficult at all. it took only about 15 minutes maybe. we just had to take out the stock airbox and connect the polished tube and connect one hose to it. very simple mod that's well worth it, i might add.
