The first thing I did was have a $1600 MP3/CD system put in, then I had two red neons put in under the dash (one in each foot well.) And then I managed to rip two brand new stock Yokohama tires which ended up costing me like $300 or so to replace, and even then the people I dealt with saved me around $100. So with that being said, I haven't had the cash to do any actual modding, but I hope to either get S-Ram, TRD exhaust or Trial exhaust, or TRD shocks and either TRD springs or something else a bit more affordable. Then rims would be next, or safe some cash and just get the stock GTS rims powder coated gunmetal. But that's all quite some time away unfortunately.

Yo, i live in VA too, close to DC.. They've got laws about everything. No clear tail lights, exhaust, you name it, they probably have a law against it... Sooo damn lame. The first thing i did was Injen intake Exhaust and turbo kit are next when i have enough dough, then rims and a suspension kit w/ drop. Although I am working on putting in a in-dash pc with custom interface and touch screen 7 lcd panel. It'll do GPS, mp3, fm, local tv, dvd, snes emulation, wireless comm. also it'll be a good place to hook up my digital cam. Something like this: http://www.letscommunicate.co.uk/carpc/ Cost around $1,600, since i will do the install myself. Definately want that turbo soon though.. Only reason i got the gt.

With my 1G I would personally get a Short Shifter make driving that much more enjoyable..tint my windows 20% or less and 35% down windshield then I would get an Intake and depending on how much is left and exhaust.

Yeah, the chrome look would be a little over the top, in my opinion. Why not just use the stock floormats? They're really nice, they fit perfectly, and they even say "CELICA" smile
