I have an oil leak that I can’t figure out the cause.
It’s not the common issues.
It’s at the top left of my engine ( above the valve cover)
I believe the celica manual calls it the air vent 1.

I’ve cleaned the engine…. Degrees It. To the point it would be show car clean…

I know for a fact it’s leaking at that spot but I don’t know the cause or how to fix it and I’ve asked multiple shops and watched countless videos…. Post as well and I can’t find anything.

If anyone has had this issue please help. How can I fix it? What’s causing the issue and can I cap it off? I’ve seen that on a video but not sure if it would damage my car.

Looks like valve cover gasket leaks.

When replacing valve cover gasket, add 2 globs of black high temp RTV silicone sealant to 2 spots where the valve cover, timing chain cover and engine block join together to prevent the leak from that gap.

The gasket has 2 bumps for those spots but they won't seal well enough. I stopped that leak in my car by adding RTV. Saw a mech do it too.
