I am thinking of putting a nitrous system in my car. But I need some help. Wet or Dry, and why (whats the difference)? How many shot, and why? Direct port, (what exactly does that mean)? How much time will it take off the 1/4 mile? The throttle kind or a window switch (which is safer)? And how much $$ are we talking? I'm thinking Zex or NX. All opinions are welcome. The reason why I want nitrous is because turbo is too expensive. I need the boost, and I need it now. "I feel the need, the need for Speed!"

i've heard 50 shot is the safest we can go(on stock engines)..definitely a WET kit coz we dont have a return fuel line..about quarter mile, i say we can run low 14's..that means we can smoke stock wrx's..im with you spider, "the need for speed!" Wrong, we have no return fuel line so we need the WET KIT. With stocks internals, no more than 20 added HP per cylinder. 4 cyl. x 20 hp = no more than 80 HP/Shot.even 75 is definately pushing it. You'll most likely be safe with a 35 or 50 shot. I think I am going with Nx direct port. After I do this, I will beging to save my money for a supercharger. [ 04-18-2003, 02:47 PM: Message edited by: SpiderManGT ]

spider man - if you have a GT go with a turbo kit. David Draper is making his kit, Stafford is making a kit... no one is making a s/c for the GT right now. not that i know of. They are making a s/c for the GTS though, compliments of blitz.

I just feel a little safer with a supercharger, plus I won't have that lag. I am trying to work out a deal with a company about a supercharger for the GT, I told them they could even borrow my car.
