I'm trying to decide what to do with my 300 dollars...been thinking about getting the alpine CDA-9807 deck for quite a while now, or something else. What'd you guys think? And by the way does anyone know if this deck is good? Also is it easy to install a head unit by myself? Thanks
humm $300... depends on what you are trying to do, you could get a cold air intake if you want more preformance, that will cost you a good $220 or maybe a raised hoodscoop and have about $180 left. Interior... i think a radio upgrade might be nice or some nice sub's. Or better yet you could just had it over to me and ill spend it for ya!! hehe just playin man
For info on the head unit check out different audio shops and ask what they think of it. You could also search the web for info. Good luck what ever you do - Robert
Install the head unit is a breeze, but the wiring is a pain in the ass because you have to rewire to the factory amp. Only if you have the premium sound sytem.
If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself.
i was just about to say porno but i hesitated and thought about it again. and i just cant justify spending $300 on porno.
you could save up a little bit more money and go for a carbon fiber hood. perhaps headlamp covers, sides, a new front end, door sills, or tail lights. or buy text books for a new quarter. for some reason i cant think of anything else...but then again, its 4:22 am and my brain is melting.
Why dont you post a list of a couple of things you have in mind to buy,and we will give you some ideas. If you still have the cash... " title="" src="graemlins/bs.gif" />

I got it with buy it now for $204.50 + 17.95 S/H on Ebay from finestdeals. I'm not sure if they have any more left, but if you search "alpine 9807" I'm sure you can find a good deal. I'll post pics and tell you how I like it after I get and install it
Hey Hiro, let me know how your transaction works out with finestdeals. I was looking at his ebay store for some stereo stuff but want to be sure of the seller, ya know what I mean?
Well, as they said they shipped it within 24 hours of processing my payment. They sent me the tracking number and it looks like its on its way. They seem to be really professional. I just have to see how they packaged it, and if its indeed what I paid for. I'll let you know after I get my package on the 14th
Hey Whateverman, transaction went perfect with finestdeals, product came packaged nicely, and it was brand new as it said. I'd give them an A+ Anywase here's my new deck I'm in love with it already...
My digi-cam isn't too good taking shots in the dark...and I can't hold the damn camera still lol.
Going through the wires was a royal pain in the ass, took me 2 days to complete it because I got confused about the series wiring, and also bought the wrong mounting kit. Its pretty cool though, matches my blue neons...Now I just have to get blue led's in my AC and behind the gauge and i'm set
hiro...nice unit! a word of advice...take the face plate with you all the time! i had an alpine unit on my "CELICAr" and it got stolen. broke my windows (driverside & hatchback glass). my faceplate was taken but not the head unit. my insurance covered the whole thing but i decided to keep it stock for now. just be alert!
u also mentioned that you had some minor probs installing it due to the wires. you should've gotten a harness - it's just plug in. anyways...you got it in and it does look nice! rock on!
I didn't know they had a harness..damn I wouldn't have had to cut all those wires lol. Oh well, thanks for the compliments, and I'll be sure to take my faceplate with me.
