i gave it to my fiance and she i going to trade it in for the matrix. she needed a car so i am giving mine up for her plus she is always with my son so that would be the family car now. now the fun part is that i get any car i want which i am thinking of getting the Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 since it is something you don't see everyday. i saw it once fixed up and it looked pretty sweet. i'm going to miss the celica but i'm giving it up for my family. bye bye celica.

What a shame.. which Matrix model, if you got the XR-S you'd have the 2zz-ge engine back again! But yeah, Tiburon I don't know.. they look nice, but the power isn't all that and their reliability well who knows. Why not keep to the toyota family and get a early - mid 90's MR2 or a MR-S? Or even a MKIV if you can find a well priced and good condition one.

the RSX is another of my options i will see which one. she is getting an auto XR since she doesn't care for Performance and doesn't know how to drive stick.

If your not gonna buy another celica, id suggest a rsx-s...350z...or g35. Those are sweet ass cars. Like many have said, dont get a tiburon. They may look nice but the V6's are crap.

What about a late gen. Integra instead, perhaps the Type-R? I had one and they are pretty damn good little cars. I guess it boils down to what you like best and what cars feel best when you go take multiple test drives.

There is a guy in my neighborhood that dives a silver Tib. Never met him. He eyes me every time I pass him in my silver Celi. I wonder if he thinks he is better then me or something?

i want the 350 but its not in my range i can't get something expensive. i would get a integra but too many have them its played out i want something not to many have or have fixed up. i might go with the rsx-s only starts in the low 20's so that is cool. i need to go test drive it to see how it drives.

tib (moded by injen) got so-so reviews by the super street editors. the v6 didn't have "punch" like you'd think. it looks nice all tricked out but based on your info (price range) the rsx-s would be a way to go and it's tuner friendly.

If it were me, I'd look at the MR2 Spyder or the new Mazdaspeed Miata. No sense in trading your Celi for a RSX-S that's almost the same car by adifferent company. If you really need a 4 seater, why not look at the WRX? Those start in the lower 20s.

Desent?
Well, Tibs are nice looking ON THE OUTSIDE if done right. I hear the interior is crap. Test drive an RSX and Tiburon. What about the Neon SRT-4? Just some thoughts. Looks... Tiburon, then RSX, lastly SRT4 Factory Performance per dollar ... SRT4, RSX, Tiburon Price... Varies by model and if you want new or used. I'd get a newly used... Less than 20,000 miles should do you good.

Yeah... I forgot the SRT-4, if you are okay with the looks and domestics. Can't go wrong with that much HP for so little money.

the majority of the people on this board will say no on the SRT bla bla but i say go for it its more bang for the buck and can kick a celicas ass (flaming begin ) but if you want to go for the sleeper look i say get the tiburon or you can get a mustang.

..I still can't really see the attraction to the RSX, they are just as common as the 3rd gen. Integra's but not as good, and the ITR has been a superior machine, even to the Type-S, and the RSX styling is a little bubble-like I had thought, but they can look pretty good with a kit.
How about a 3rd gen. RX-7 TT? They go for pretty reasonable, but you just have to watch out for that nortorious rotary engine.. or even the RX-8? A bit more expensive than the listed price range but since they are a new vehicle there is probably a good promotion at your local Mazda dealer, around here there is a $0 down and lease price of $400 Canadian (so what, $250 or so US) which I thought was really good.

The first is the sunroof shade when it's not totally open or totally closed. Second is the rattling from the doors... but I think that's what I get for adding a big stereo system.

BTW... forgot earlier...
IF you can still SOMEHOW find a 2003 Mazdaspeed Protege, jump on it. Dealers had them marked down to around 16k last time I saw, and now there is a 0% financing or $2500 cashback deal on top of that. They might be gone from the dealers floors now, but check into it. It's been proven possible to push the car over 200whp for less than 2k. Gotta dig the factory Turbo.

Don't bother with Hyundai, its a waste of money. New Elantra bought in 2002 - 13,999 Sold in 2003 with 11,000 miles on it: $6600
