Alright it's finally in and working.. good god.

Why a computer in the car?? DVD,MP3 (all 2000 or em!), Games, Videos, GPS you name it... wireless web possible too I guess.

It's a 1.8Mhz in a low pro case running off a 700 watt inverter. Switches for both are in the ashtray.

Screen is in passenger visor. The remote RF eye for the wireless keyboard is in the 2nd glove box thingy.

There's a remote USB port up front for gamepads, camera, jumpdrive etc.

Just waiting for my driver side LCD. Doing an A-piller mount i think, similar to how gauges are set up.

I think that's about it!!
Pics below.
Questions welcome~!

It's an 5.6" Orcom.

Got it from Tundraelectronics.com (Michigan I think)

At the time it was only $119, now I think it's close to the 200 mark.

They've got some other affordable options though. There's a 6" for about $170.

Etronics.com has some decent deals too.

Do you think it will fit in to JDM console? What is the size (all way around)?

nice setup - how's the airflow in there for the computer? Are you using multiple fans or heatsinks?

I am fairly certain that 5.6" will fit a JDM. Great idea too! Wish I could have gotten one.

And yeah there's three fans running there. One on the case that you can see, the CPU inside and one on the back.

So she's cool and breezy! smile

If you have RF wireless keyboard/mouse you can hide the receiver somewhere in like dash, so that you can use the space for storing mouse or something..
I belive you have the IR wireless keyboard/mouse
RF is the radio frequency.. which can be pass through objects...
