werd, it's not as easy as you think, there is a lot of money wasted making the molds and making the prototypes.

except, it's a high quality, hand built piece.

a cheapo hoodscope from an online place is cheaper, but look at the quality of the work he does, plus it's ready for paint

Sorry, this scoop is for someone that has appreciation for work that is OEM quality and is not on practically every Celica on the planet. These scoops are $250 less than the Sports-M scoop, if you can even get it, and at least $100 less than the delivered price of the Brash Boy scoop. And, no shit, I could sell them for less if I were making them in my garage without the expense of an actual brick and mortar business or had them made in a sweatshop in Asia. You have to pay to play if a pro is doing your work. thumbsup

Although i have no say, i just know that it is appreciated when the maker sees their item getting good reviews.

Nice hood scoop, and i love them lights... and i heard the price, and didn't question it at all, bc i wanna have somethin unique, and to get it you gotta pay the price. :-) Nice stuff man. Great Work!

I do have a black one ready painted for $250 if that helps.
For now Im not offering them painted because getting quality painting done in a timely fashion is impossible, locally.

$200 is for the scoop in prime. Send the threaded studs from your stock scoop after getting this scoop and get $20 back.

Tater, I have to commend you and another job well done, your work is top-notch and second to none. Even though the prices are a bit steep for a college student such as myself, the products rock and that's the price you have to pay for Custom parts that aren't sold or seen anywhere else. with your talent... you should be making crazy ass body kits to compete with veilside wink Just an Idea thumbsup

Try Fizz Autosport for the Sports-M scoop or you could buy three of my scoops for the same price! Good luck. thumbsup

I received my scoop from Eric, yesterday. If any of you are still having qualms about the price, let me dispel them for you. This scoop is some class Fiberglass work. The fit to the hood is OEM like and the finish is first class. I haven't seen any of the really high priced Japanese scoops, but there's no way they could be any better in fit or finish, but they are a whole lot more expensive. How could you improve on perfection? It is evident, from the moment you open the box, that Eric takes great pride in his workmanship. I don't believe I have ever received something that was packaged as well. Not even UPS or FedEx could have hurt the contents of that box, without running it over with a fork lift or a semi.

Bottom line, don't have any reservations about the price of Eric's scoop, if you were considering buying one. The quality of his workmanship and material is second to none.

I'll try to have some pics of the scoop, on my GT, later today.

tater, i'm interested even though i got a custom "m-sport" from a shop in canada (gb over at nc). the quality is nowhere near as good as yours. the curves are actually off center and i don't know if it can be fixed. if not, i have to check with the finances (just moved so i'm paying for 2 rents this month and i just got a new laptop).

eric/tater,

got my scoop. all i can say is WOW. the workmanship is top notch and your shipping was almost impenetratable. rofl. your product was 10 times better than the other one i have (and it ain't that bad). i even showed a co-worker who's done Fiberglass work and he gave an excellent critique of it. good deal, man. thumbsup thumbsup grin

Tater can I get some detail on the mounting on this scoop? Is it oem with factory hardware or with some cheesy mis-matched hardware? I'm very interested in one of these shoot me a PM with your reply as I don't frequent this forum much.

CID,
I know what you mean about cheesy mounting hardware. Some folks that make custom parts seem to forget that the stuff actually needs to be attached to the car. The scoops I make have 6mm threaded studs integral to the mounting bosses that use the nuts from the stock hood scoop. The scoops are fitted and bonded to the mounting bosses on an OEM steel hood to insure that fitment is perfect.
