Wow...that is risky! Even stock sunroofs will leak. Did you shop around for a good price...if you let them know you are also looking else where they will usually offer a lower price.
Make sure you read the warranty and SAVE it!

even though mine came with a sunroof, I'd rather not get an aftermarket one if I hadn't got it in the first place - too many potential problems

sunroofs actually depreciate a car. if you are using your car for Performance they are also not the way to go. still, it's up to you.

sunroofs actually depreciate a car. if you are using your car for Performance they are also not the way to go. still, it's up to you. I pretty sure that statement is false. I think you should go for it. Actually, I had my sunroof installed by the dealer before I picked up my car and I have had no problems with it. Many dealers offer this as an option, and they cut into you roof to do it.
My car might be slow, but at least it looks nice!

its just a gamble. you might pay 1000 and get this shitty sunroof that leaks and squeaks and lets the cold air in during the winter, OR, you might get a good deal and a decent sunroof. i mean, mines stock and it still Creaks alot, but i havent had any problems with leaking. i think the sunroofs from toyota (that came stock) were an extra 900 something dollars, so i guess its about the same price.
i got my pirate antenna ball back! *rock*

i've seen it...they are always shitty...
think about it...when it's built at the factory and what they go through when it's aftermarket...major difference.

if the people are good at it, then go ahead...
your car, i'm just saying it's not worth the money...it's probably more money than having it come on the car... i just don't recommend it from what I have seen.

yeah i guess it would from what i gather toyota dealerships send the vehicle out to local sunroof installers they dont actually do the job themselves so this would also mean that the people who do it are damn good so it looks like im gonna just take it to some guys who have PLENTY of experience i havent heard anyone complain about these guys i'll post some pics of the before and after job when i get it done p.s. its spring break, im in florida (a stone throw away from panama city), i think a sunroof is a good buy when it is done right - or from factory!!! lol
