I hear EVERYONE over and over again say it's "easier" to turbo or supercharge a GT than a GTS because of lower stock compression... if that is the case then WHY CAN'T I FIND a turbo kit or supercharger for ANYTHING BUT THE GTS... everyone says it, no one backs it up, and I don't get it... someone help!!! (or just shoot me now)...

It is easier to turbo a GT. Don't know about Supercharged. The GTS comes before the GT cause it has more power. Thats just what I think.

What really pisses me off, is that they seem to be concentrating on the Matrix more than the celica.

yeah I saw that too... but what sparked this is that I just found out that the Matrix that they are supercharging is the VVTL-i ENGINE ANYWAY!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Yea it sucks. I contacted Ripp Modifications about a supercharger and they say that their kind of set up will not fit under our hoods. Are there any other aftermarket companies that make Superchargers? We could bug the hell out of them until they make one.

Contact HKS, XS engineering, etc. See what they can do. I also think a Greddy T3/T4 combo will work on a GT. Don't nkow what that means, but I think I saw it someone else before. Good luck. Lemme know if you get any info. w/ a GTS, too.

Yeah what's up with Blitz? They already make one for the J-Spec GTS, all they need to do is reprogram the ECU for our lower compression motors, and lower octane fuel. Plus, why is it that Blitz can make a supercharger fit under the hood of the Celica, but not TRD? TRD is owned by Toyota right? and they can't fit some crap under our hood the way Blitz can? <img src=" title="" src="graemlins/bs.gif" /> thumbsdown

i heard there are at least three kits for the GT coming out this summer. if not... then i'd be pretty damn pissed. it's the entire reason i opted for a GT in the first place [Mad]

I heard there were some kits coming out this summer too, but that's about it, i've "heard." Just wait like 6 years when i get my engineering degree and make my own friggin turbo!!!!! HAHAHA!!!

Yeah... that's why I went with a GT also, everyone kept saying "it's sooo much easier to turbo/supercharge a GT".. so I figured OK save the 10K don't get the GTS, get the GT and get a supercharger and there ya go, pushin 200hp.. but now NO ONE makes a Turbo or Supercharger.. so why does everyone keep saying Turboing a GT is easier?

I have heard that EVERY summer since 99 people have been saying "this summer".. so I am not holding my breath, but I am with you glitch.. I'll be pissed if I don't have a supercharged GT by this time next year. All I want is 6psi!!! IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK FOR???? AHHHHH cry

yo FX... this kit looks the most promising.
stafford fabrications kit [newcelica.org]

it is pretty much finished and in the testing phase. unfortunately for me, i probably won't be getting forced induction till next year when i've acquired enough miles to make my warranty expire frown
