I'm trying to decide whether or not to paint my headlights black on my blue 2001 GT or get a BAT kit, but I'm having trouble locating a picture of a Celica with the headlights painted black for comparison.

In another thread someone had pictures of their headlights painted gunmetal, but didn't have a good picture from the front of the car. Does anyone have pics of each in order to to a side-by-side comparison.

thanks,
brad

Here's another painted I found. This one really looks good. I like that you can still see the chrome reflectors, but it is still quite dark overall.

if you go with the vinyl, and dont like it you could always just take it off...painting is alittle harder to reverse...

Can't you always just vinyl over a bad paint job too? Seriously if I decided to paint I'd be real careful and sure its the look I want. Thats why I've been trying to round up as many pics of pained lights as I can. Any you could add would help.

What about your car losing value? Would painting the lights screw you in that sense?

yeah you coould vinyl over a paint job, but if the paints not even you may see bumps, or even may not stick as well. If you do paint make sure ur careful especially if you plan to keep some chrome in it wave

The tutorials on this site explain in great detail how to paint the parts without screwing things up. They'll come in very handy when I get the nuts to try it out.
