neone have them in their car? im thinking 3 12's i have the cash, but neone tell difference in 10's, 12's and 15's?? im in process of fiberglassing, so need to purchase so i can work on top. Thanks
The difference between a 15 and a 12 is that the 10 has less vibration but the bass is cleaner...12'z on the other hand will give you a cleaner bass and a harder vibration..15'z on the other hand, you gotta be psycho to put that in your car...if the 15'z are the JL W7, then kiss your windows goodbye... if you are going with twelves and a fiberglass trunk make sure you get the right subs and the right amp. hope my 2 cents help.

hey guys. i have 2 audiobahn 12"s and an audiobahn amp (a2801q). I wanna do fiberglass but i don't know anything about it. How much does it cost (ballpark) to get it done and carpeted at your 'local car audio place'? Any ideas for how i should set it up (where and how to angle/put the subs). Please post pics or email them to me: joeguy12@yahoo.com

Ok, JL W7s dont come in 15s, for some reason the largest JL makes is a 13in., but dont let that fool you, these are still the best subs ever(what would you expect at close to $1000) And as far as size of the subs, I'd go with 12's. they're tighter sounding than 10s, and 15 have always sounded kinda low quality to me. It seems like 15s are just meant to be loud(thus larger cone area so they push more air) and not clean. 3 12s would be great, and should sound great too, if you dont go cheap on the amp. You could have the greatest subs in the world and make them suck with a crappy 1200 watt Profile California series amp for 200 bucks(friend of mine)
i used to have 2 12's polk momos in my car but now i got 2 type r's 12's i can tell the difference really, they sound clearer then the momo's they hit so hard my kaminari spoiler rattles and my tool sets, but it might be because im pushing a 1500 watt amp.
