Factory clutch for a Celica is about $200. Install ranges from $800-$900.
I'd ask around to see if a friend is mechanically inclined and has access to a lift to save some moolah.

Does anybody else think this doesn't really sound like worn out clutch? Most worn out clutches slip. Our car has a hydraulicly actuated clutch, and this could be a worn out slave cylinder or air in the lines. If your clutch fluid is empty or if you can pump the clutch pedal in and out quickly a couple times and get it to work for a second that may be the problem. A new slave cylinder would be a bunch cheaper than a whole new clutch!

Hmmm $800 install?!?!..Had mine done at the dealership and it was $500..If you have any extra cash now would be the time to install a light weight flywheel and aftermarket clutch if you were going to thats what I did.. RPS Max Series Clutch with street disc and Fidanza Flywheel with install was like $1,300

wow. i don't have $1000 to spend on installation and new clutch. Man, this sux. The previous owner probably drag it every single day r some shit. because after i pop the hood last night i could smell something burned. so my friend call his friend who is a mechanic came down and said, the clutch is gone for real. So now i'm looking for new clutches, like Performance, if the dealer won't replace it then i'm gonna need to buy new one. Got any site sell cheap??

Well if it's the clutch, then don't worry about covering anything up because it won't be covered under warranty anyways.

some good will come out of this, you will have a better performing clutch when it is all done (provided that you get a Performance clutch). how many miles does your car have?
