I found a shop in NC that will custom make me a turbo for my 2K GTS. He claims that he can make a twin sequential, but I'm a little skeptical on how the hell he would fit it under the hood. So, the question is anyone out there that has a custom turbo.. what kind of money did you have to lay down for it and was it worth it? Also, what RPM range did you use for your power band?

Word of advice if you have beefed up the internals a lot you cant go over 8 psi and that is pushin it. You wouldnt need twins that would just be a huge weight add on for little increase.

Actually, the weight added on isnt significant, just worried about people working on a new model car. I would prefer the twin because of the sluggish off the line start of a inline 4. I was thinking of aiming the smaller turbo from 2k-4.5k and the larger turbo for 4.5k-8k, but I dont know if it will spin up that far. As far as too much PSI, there will be a wastegate to protect the internals. I got a diagram yesterday of what it would look like. I can post his CAD drawing of the engine bay with the twin. You should see where the intercooler is stuffed!

Michael, that'd be awesome if you could post the diagram. I'm looking into getting a turbo myself. I think I'm gonna have a shot of nitrous for off the line and then shut that down once the turbo's ready. Kinda worried about my engine detonating, but I'm willing to risk it... I think.
