so i want to get some rims sometime for my car and i want chrome (i have a white celica) but people are telling me chrome wouldnt look good b/c light color car and supposively the chrome reflects light and looks light too so they think its bad. i think chrome looks good on any car any color. but if not chrome what else? i think a lot of the other finishes look cheap. i want shine and lots of it. what do you guys think? post pics of ur rims and thoughts. heres what i was looking at http://www.wheelmax.com/Wheels/Color/chrome.htm the exel version 7 or i liked this one but its silver would it look good i dunno http://www.wheelmax.com/Specials/specials.html exel GT-7... confused

i like the gt-7. when it comes to chrome, you have to think of where you live(salt on roads or air will be a problem),in other words, would you be dedicated to cleaning them. if you plan on racing, crome wheels are generally heavier. on a white car it looks good. i like gunmetal rims or just the silver rims with that gloosy look. i say go with your heart and budget and what do you plan on using your car for-show or race.good luck!!!

It doesnt matter what someone else thinks. If you really like chrome rims, then get chrome rims. I, personally, am not too big on chrome at all, but i have seen a white celica with chrome wheels on it before, and it didnt look too bad(this coming from someone who doesnt like chrome wheels)

I agree that you should get whatever YOU want. If you like the way it looks, that's what matters most - after all, no one else is paying for the rims and no one else is driving your car.

With that said, I think a dark finish like gunmetal might go well with a white celica.

IMO I don't really like chrome rims on a celi, to me it looks best on a SUV...

But with that said I think the second ones look the best! smile

you should check out tires.com, they have a online program, where you can sorta see how the wheels will look on your car, or if you have one of the latest of second latest super street mags, there should a disk, that gives a few cars (not the celica) but you can get an idea what crome rims will look like on a white car (rsx is the cloesest they got)

I love WHITE on WHITE.. Everytime I see one I DROOL over how good it looks, and wish I had bought a white celica instead of silver. nothing prettier on a celica IMO.. If I had a white one, NO QUESTION, I would have white volks (or something that look similar).

There was an awesome celica with white on white at import supreme 2 weeks ago in vancouver. I'll try to get a pic.
