I have a question I'm not sure if anyone can answer it but the guy at the toyota dealer sure didnt give me a straight answer. I want to replace my stock(2001) headlight casing lens and all with the 2004 version but the guy at the toyota dealer said since they have different part number the whole part is different and wont fit on my 01. I doubt this is true. Yes the design inside looks different but the inner workings and the way it is installed theoretically shouldn't have changed right. I mean they would only change the outer appearence right? can anyone help
by the way each headlight is $340

The '04 halogen should fit your '01 without problem. But, if they were HID housing, then you may need to switch out your lowbeam. Your stock H7 will not fit without modification.

As tony said above, the housing will fit, but the lowbeam bulb won't.

Thanks for your help guys! I knew you would be able to. I mean it only makes sense. Those damn toyota guys are baffled just because a the damn model number changes. spineyes I think I might also replace my 01 hatch handle with the 03 but im not sure.

You can practically buy the car piece by piece. heh... probably cost you $80,000 after its all said and done though

You are giving the dealer too much credit, they assume a different part # means the whole car has completely changed, and none of the parts are interchangable. spineyes

You would think that a DEALERSHIP would know more about the products it sells idunno

They told me that they weren't sure the TRD pads would fit my '03, because it had a different part number listed for the '00-'02 celicas. rolleyes

And in case you had any doubt, yes, the '03 hatch handle will fit on earlier years.. laughsilly
