hey sup celica owners!! i dont know wut happen to my car maybe you guys can help me out?? i was racing couple days ago with a integra gsr ,i beat on my car like crazy for 2-3 mins i was holding my rpm between 6000-8200 for that whole 3 min...after awhile like 4-5 hours later i knowtice a weird rattling sound between 3000-4000 rpm especially on second gear...the sound is there when i gas up sometimes it is so weird man ..guys i need ur opinion thanks

is there a hiss or anything else you could tell us to help you out? Hopefully it's not a valve.

Sounds like a valve, or something else that broke inside of the engine. Whatever it is, I'd get it check out ASAP, or else you will blow your engine if you've got broken parts being thrashed around in there.

Are you sure the sound is coming from the engine, and not anywhere else under the hood?

Also, why the hell were you holding your RPM's that high for so long???

you need to say more about the sound.does it go away when you push the clutch to shift gear? do you hear it free reving? if you let off the gas and let your rpm drop back down to the rpm you say the noise is at do you hear it? etc.

cause it sound kinda funny that 4 to 5 hours later what ever it is happened! 4 to 5 hours later!

It only happens when you gas it? I ask because I had a loud buzzing sound that would sound everytime I let off the gas at around 3-4k rpms in 2nd-3rd gear. It just fixed itself.
Does lift still kick in correctly?

Dude the same thing happen to me!!! First of all in my case I burned my clucth, and thats what it sounds lke happened to you. Second, that sound means you need tranny fluid. Make sure you get it in fast or you'll need a new one like me! Once you put the fluid in there the noise I was told wont go away but it wont get any worse. So to recap: Best case - tranny fluid worst case new tranny. But hey THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN TO ME TAKE YOUR CAR TO THE DEALER!!!

bro I may have a very bad news for you, that same shit happend with my first celi, took it to the dealership the told me I bend it two pistons, it would cost me aroud $4000 to fix it that's why I just went to a toyota dealeship about an hour away and traded in for my new celi sorry bro, If i was you I would take your car to the dealership

damn man i dunno man everything sound so bad... the sound only comes on when im gasing and its only between 3000-4500 for some strange reason ..the power is still there and the vtec still kicks in ..i dunno guys but im gonna take the car to the mechanics tomor i hope is nothing too crazy i love my car man.. i ll keep you guys posted ha ..thanks man o do any of you know y this will happen like the valve break or piston bent????

i dont think its your piston, you might have bent a valve though...

i was racing man i was holding on high rpm when i was cutting it was crazy though man that shxt hurt my car so much ...o guys i went to the mechanics today they said is becuz i ran out of motor oil that y is making that sound..but i tested afterward the sound is still there but not loud as before.. they said on fri they gonna do a oil change for me if the sound dosent go away.. they also said it might be the timing chain .. i hope is noth ing serious
