I can do all that in stick or auto. My friend just told me the other day that I should hold the phone with my left hand... before I alwayse used to try shifting with my left hand while talking with my right on the phone. lol jsut take the phone away from teh head for a sek innseted

in defense to the manual, a good driver can shift more efficiently than the automatic will. and i'm saying this after being bashed for having an automatic, its relentless. give me a break! no driver, however good they are, can shift better than an automatic does. thats not part of the debate between auto-vs-manual. an auto can shift far faster & shift cleaner (although the auto celicas have had hard auto shifting for some reason) than a manual does.

If I had a 1000hp car like that Supra and all I wanted was to win drag races, then I'd probably go auto because it'll shift quicker and cleaner. But let's say I wanted to race around a track, I'd get a manual because I can downshift and slow down quicker than an auto and accelerate out of a turn quicker than an auto because I control the gears and I control when I shift. And for everyday driving, I like my manual Celica. I wouldn't get an auto now. Maybe one day when I'm real old and I don't wanna deal with the hassle of changing gears in traffic etc, I'll buy an auto car. But for now, I love manual cars. They make driving more fun.

Yes seventh gen. Celica's definitely have one of the nicest and coolest looking interiors around, I especially like our seats.. the only problem with the leather is it's soo hot in the summer time.
Attached a pic of my ex-ITR and it's interior, very bland, boring, looks like it's from the 80's and the seats aren't nearly as comfy or supportive (from what I recall) as the Celica.

There are a lot of pro's for the manual tranny. And with most cars, the manual is always faster than the auto and the only exception I can think of would be the MKIV Supra TT, with that car the auto is faster. Manual is cheaper to buy, cheaper to fix, you can always roll start you car if you have problems, you can coast and maybe save some gas, it's usually faster, it's 1/4ber fun..maybe even easier to do burn-outs in? To each their own though, I can't really blame people who drive in busy big city traffic every day and if they want a auto to make it easier it's all good..but talking on the cellphone is pretty stupid while driving.
