How should I go about removing this decal? Just peel it off. Should be easier if you heat the car up and get the hood nice and toasty.

use a heat gun or blow dryer to heat it up and a plastic razor blade or your finger to bring up and edge on it...then just peel away.

go to your local rite aid and pick up this stuff called "go go gone" what you are going to do is what for a hot day and start pealing the decal off your car, or you can use a hair dryer... then its going to leave this sticky substance on your car, you rub your car with that go go gone stuff , might have to go over the spots you missed with the go go gone ... and then whipe it off and hose your car down... and your done. i just took the graphix of my car like 2 weeks ago took me about 2 hours , until i thought of the go go gone crap...

if it was put on right, with a layer of rough wax under it, it shouldnt peel the paint unless you tear it off like a band-aid

heat guns strip paint. yeah heat guns can get too hot.. just make sure you don't stay in one area too long

dont try the heatgun, ever, you will regret it. . just stick to a hairdryer. . i regret it

heat gun is fine if you keep it at a good distance. i tried both the hair dryer and heat gun, the heat gun got the job done faster with no blemish on the paint.

Thanks guys. I will try with a hairdryer then.
If it leaves some sticky stuff behind is there a differant way to get rid of it other than "go go gone" because I don't really want to have to waste money.

if you use the heat gun right...it won't do anything...
heat gun isn't recommended for BUMPERS and anything Urethane or Fiberglass...then you're going to have a problem...
just stick with a hair dryer...get the vinyl off...then use spot remover to get the sticky shit off if there is any.
