i have a red celica...i like the carbon fiber with the red...im planning on gettin Carbon Fiber altezza's, Carbon Fiber interior dash kit, PIAA Carbon Fiber wipers...what do you think about a Carbon Fiber hood scoop too? too much Carbon Fiber? does anyone else have the Carbon Fiber with the red?

my suggestion: get the carbon fiber hood and leave the scoop red.

evan will the carbon fiber hood void a warranty?? where can i get a good one for a cheap price??

I don't see a carbon fiber hood voiding warranty. At least not along the powertrain. But yea, the carbon fiber hood with a raised red scoop would look better than a carbon fiber scoop.
But now you have to choose which carbon fiber hood. They have some good looking ones out now. If you want an aggresive look, go with the invader. The BRS hood looks good also, I think its more of the sporty look. Then there is the regular carbon fiber hood. Nice clean and simple. The choice is yours.

they also make the red and black colored c/f hood. that might be a good thing to consider. i think it looks very niccccce on red cars.

ya i figured they'd have some in there but this was quicker... also you can see that there are other colors as well... blue/black, yellow/black, somethingelse/black...

carbon fiber sounds good but consider where you're at. i heard it gets distorted under really hot weather like here in vegas... that's why i dont see much here

I don't see how it could void a warranty, but you could always change it back to stock hood in order to get warranty work done.. I have to agree with Grand touring Dan about the invader style, but that's a personal choice. I also agree that a red/black carbon fiber hood would look really good with a red car. and where can you get one? The everythingcelica store, of course!

Yes, carbon fiber hoods will eventually start to fade and get washed out like a black shirt being washed too many times.

Hey man, I have never bought from these guys and do not know anyone that has, but they do have the red/black Carbon Fiber you were looking for. Asylum Motorsport (Http://www.asylumms.com). If you get them please let me know about quality and the way it fits. I have been curious about their products for a while now. The only downside is their selection you can either get the Neo 6 vent hood or the OEM styl... that is all they carry. I hope this will help you a bit.

The Carbon Fiber hood looks nice on a red car...and I suggest getting a raised hoodscoop like the C1 and leaving that red for some contrast.

But IMO I don't see the point in spending money on windshield wipers just because there Carbon Fiber, seems like a waste of money to me, and im not fond of the Carbon Fiber altezza's (they kinda remind me of meat balls). If I were you I would spend the money on something else like a spoiler with a Carbon Fiber insert on it...but thats just me

Can a carbon fiber hood be painted?

It's lighter, I don't know by how much.. and as for your second question, paint it? doesn't that kinda defeat the purpose of buying a carbon fiber hood in the first place?
