I've read lots about the superchargers for celicas, but I haven't heard how much HP they add if any. Does anyone know?...thanks.

yea yea. I think that the supercharger is more reliable than turbo. So it all depends on what you are looking for ya know?

I can't believe it's so low in power. I always assumed it had more for some reason. Well, thanks for your input guys.

ya its pricey but again those gains r wheel hp also it was done on 19's which i think causes it 2 give a wrong reading plus the fact that it is on japanese 105 oct and god only knows if theyll get their s*#$ together and bring it to the states. but a good custom turbo setup will cost you mucho $$ ask mike lu how much he's spent and he's still not done if im not mistaken well thats just my 2cents

the dyno of the celica that had the Blitz SC had 19 inch rims. I do not believe an addition of 27.9 hp and 30 lbs of torque is entirely accurate.

man you guys crack me up..any of you driven 2 cars with a 30lb -ft torque difference??? That is BIG! especially when you start at 130 PLUS YOU ARE TALKING PEAK TORQUE.. which doesn't mean squat. Find me ANY car for under 50K that comes with 160lb -ft torque.. good LUCK!
A supercharger will level out torque across the band, so like at around 2500RPM you may have only had 90lb -ft and now you are around 130 (which is lower than peak, so a 40lb -ft gain that never shows up when someone talks peak), that's an UNBELIEVEABLE difference. If you have never driven a supercharged car, don't judge.. and don't talk peaks when it comes to torque, look at a dyno graph and see what it does at 4000RPM and at 2500 and ALSO at the peak 6500 not JUST what it does at peak... The difference between an eclipse and a WRX is only 20lb -ft torque at peak, BUT THE WRX is SOOO much more powerful off the line... it's SICK, and a WRX is a turbo, so you will end up with lag (turbo won't spool until around 2000RPM where as a supercharger is ALWAYS spooled, so you are getting boost at 200rpm instead of waiting till 2000 because it's powered by the crank, no the exhaust).

27.9HP is TRUE! One of my friend has GTS (TRD typeM!) with BLITZ S/C. He tested HP by dyno before and after S/C installation.
Before 200HP + After 230HP The difference is 30Hp.
I know 3TZZ + S/C will hit 280HP.

yeah.. no one is arguing that. PEAKS DON'T MEAN SHIT! that's the point. ENTIRE Torque graph.. ONLY thing that matters IMO [ 05-03-2003, 08:11 PM: Message edited by: FX-MAN ]

can you install an AEM CAI with the blitz supercharger, instead of the short ram they have in project celica website listed above?
with the increase in torque and Hp do the front wheels wander more? ...because when vvtl-i kicks in a stock gts with 18" rims it wanders a bit.
installing the supercharger does this decrease engine life?

A supercharger shouldn't decrease engine life cause all it mostly does is force massive amounts of air into the engine. A turbo would be more parasitic on the engine.

Waaaaaaa!!! I have a 12:1 compression ratio engine and can't double the horsepower with forced induction. Get something with displacement.
