Has anyone else had a problem like this? I don't have a warranty anymore, and this thing has been cracked for a while, and finally fell off... it looks like shit! I'm worried that i'll have to pay out the ass to fix this...
the window doesn't fit right... i think this is what caused the problem to begin with. When the door closes, the window hits the piece of trim that goes around the driver's window, and forces it up, which puts stress on the rear corner window...
Yeah, that's expensive to replace b/c you can't do just the trim. Toyota sells that as a whole piece so you'll have to take out the window and put the new on in place of it. PM me for a more cost effective way to correct that.
Damn. thats probably expensive as hell. Break Into your car and collect insurence money! i may be able to get you some recepts for some subs and cd player and amps etc...

May be... may be not. I do not think this trim plastic cost a lot...
I had that problem when I first got my Celi. I caught it before anything broke though so I don't know how much the trim is. I had to have the door adjusted, which solved the problem, but now the wind noise is louder, but only a high speeds. Good luck
Mine also cracked but its a little lower not in the exact spot but its the exact same piece. I went to the Toyota dealership and they told me that I cant replace that piece without buying the entire rear side panel window. I think they quoted me somewhere around $200.
I wonder if there is something wrong with that piece because I was going to buy that part from someone that was parting pieces from their crashed Celica but someone beat me 2 it in New Celica. That would make it 4 people that Ive heard about with that same problem. I wonder

Yeah thats right you have to replace the whole thing not just the trim. Since when my car got hit they didn't fix that part of my car then they said they have to replace the whole thing. hopefully narcolepsy123456 can help you out a bit.. good luck
