i've notice that my car doesnt peel out as much as before after i switch to 2nd gear. no matter how high the rpm is on 1st gear, it still doesnt peel out that much. and it got slower. and also one of the belts makes noises after i start the engine. and it only has 4000 miles on it. you think its just broken into or i wore out the clutch or something because i not always but usually floor it. or its just the noisy belt???

LOL true, but now im betting your tires are at their prime for grip and thats why you arent peeling them in second

not 'chirping' the tires can be due to several things.

1. depends on the weather--hotter weather (it is getting hotter) will make your tires more sticky and this will improve traction to wear you won't 'chirp' as often.

2. depends on the road--asphalt when dry is more sticky than pavement when dry. and vice versa: pavement when wet is more sticky than asphalt when wet

with only 4000 miles, you should definately not be experiencing power loss (although you should take it easy on your engine for the first few thousand miles to help break it in--dont race/ride hard with a new car). it's possible, but i seriously doubt it.

about breaking it in... its been proven that cars properly broken(meaning it didnt go past 4-5k rpm's for 1000 miles) have more power after the breakin period and last a lot longer and stay stronger through their lifetime

i say this cause in a magazine, dont remember which one, they dynoed a wrx at 30000 that was used as a test mule from day 1 taken to tracks and stuff had less power than a identical wrx with the same mileage

Actually, isn't there a differant stipulation now a days. With new technology for vehicles, they actually recommend you drive your car really hard (ie: almost redline it and drive for a bit, and then slow down and repeat this off and on) and it is suppose to tighten something..not sure exactly what (maybe pistons or something?) but it's suppose to actually give or maintain the Performance of your engine.

I can't imagine a car with only 3k miles not being able to peel out, bad tires or not.. all you have to do is floor it in first and the car should squeal.. at least mine does. I did it not too long ago and I saw smoke come up the side of the outside of my door and I was only in like 4k rpm or so and floored it for about one a half seconds (after letting off the clutch.)
