Celica Forums General Discussion General I get so sick of getting hi-beamed!

Does anyone else have this problem...I get so sick of getting hi-beamed by other on coming cars. I always have my driving lights on (which any moron knows can't be on with hi beams) My lights are aimed properly, its just nippleheads that don't like projector lights!! grrrr...

hi-beam them back... then they will feel stupid

the weird thing is...i'll have my low-beams on when there's an oncoming car and they still think i have my highs on and flash me...i've gotten it a lot and it's not cause there is something ahead...

i have not gotten flashed by anyone, but you have to admit, say your driving down a long dark high way and someone with hid's are coming at you, your gonna get pissed of
it happened to me sooooooooo many times...

HID's dont bother me... its the trucks that pull right up behind you and blind the shit out of you that annoy me.

yeah it hate that, specially being lowered so their heads are RIGHT INyour rear windshield... flashing your highs back would be pretty funny

when people are tired, most headlights look bright

what difference does it make if people flash you anyways - its not like you will see them on the road again after you've already passed them

just ignore those people and keep on your way...

and for some reason at night they all love to get about 2 inches away from my back bumper just so i can see their pretty lights

i don't like when they leave their high beams on or are behind you really fuckin close

it must be different when you live in the middle of nowhere

In Los Angeles, I'd say that most people are are pretty much usta seeing just about every type of light... EVERY DAY.

Besides, most of our streets are usually 2 lanes and our freeways are between 4 and 8 lanes wide... if they are riding your bumper, then you either get out of their way, or they will find another way to pass you

yea, highway wise...


but just on normal roads, people are asses...

just yesterday, this truck followed me on my ass, right there, then at a stop sign, they must have gotten and inch away from me, then i just shot away...

i think it was someone who knew me who wanted to be a jerk.

A couple months ago I was following this lifted Dodge Ram on my way to work at 5a.m. on a pretty rural road, straight for about 10 miles, I was not tailing him close. All of a sudden he slams on his brakes and stops. So I stop behind him thinking he saw a deer and panic stopped. He just sits there for a minute or two, so I thought "maybe he dropped his cigarette or something" so I go around him. As soon as I get next to him, he comes over and tries to hit me!!! So I jump on it and he tries to keep up with me!!! Of course his truck will only do 100 so I lost him but I'm thinking WTF what kind of psycho was that?? Only thing I can think of is maybe He thought I had my highs on him or something. WTF??

i got flashed always since i got my HID...dumb shits dono car... they dont even know that celi has a different bulb for hi-beam...they should go fuck theirself and die durning masterbation...

hopefully you filled in those UFO's.. those holes in the projector sheild ..cause they do make mad glare!!..

Although I have my DRL's on and yet this one person high beams me I guess thinking that I left my lights on?

But Heck I know my hids i had in had terrible glare due to the stock projector sheild..

huh? I don't know what that means. I don't have HID's. I have an '01 with stock lights.

When people flash me I just turn on my high beams and leave them on. It makes them feel stupid and it's not like I'm ever gonna see them again.

I hear flash Fridays has returned...muhaha. Flash a chick with your lights and see what happens..

I know for the Domestic version of teh Celica we all have these like 2 little circle like holes each in our projectors. I'll try to get a pic to show you.

Because of those holes it helps lighten up the signs on the road. Ever notice how much brighter the signs are driving the celica as compared to some other cars..?

Man I also can't stand people that drive with their brights too.

I do this all the time slow down and go on back of them and high beam them back or I just go next to them and roll down your window and give then the middle finger.

one time, i was drivin` home. it was 2:00am. there was only two lane on the street, and there was no one on the road. from a distance i see this very bright light coming towards me on the opposite lane. it was a car. when it got a bit close i hi-beamed the driver real quick askin` him to lower his lights, but he didnt. i did it a couple more times but he still didnt. so what i did was i turned off my lights, went to his lane (face to face) and i turned on my hi-beam lights. then he slowed down and his car went off the road and into the sand. i was laughing so hard.

The states doesn't realy have any respect upon drivers...

I'll be on the road and slow down to let someone go in front of me by flashing my lights at them, but they'll just sit there staring at me. In Japan, flashing your lights means "Go ahead" and it's a sign of respect.

If there's an accident on the highway and the speed decreases really fast, I'll put on my hazards to let those behind me know. In Japan, every person that sees the hazard lights on will put their hazards on...Then those behind them will know what's going on and repeat the process.

I guess this isn't Japan...

i get the same problem with ppl high beeming me. i do admit that my stock lights are pretty bright but some ppl r just ignorant like that and they have to leave their high beams on to blind me. whenever that happens i just turn on my foglights and highbeams and wave while i watch their whole car light up and i see them covering their faces.

Yeah, I hate is when stupid trucks come from behind, it very annoying.. I accelerate, they can't catch up . I also hate when truck come from the opposite lane.. their light are so high that are pointing right in my face, that is also annoying.. I wish I had missiles and just blast them. That will teach them!

They should do this here in the US I think that would be a good idea... eh??
