CAn anybody share their stories of aftermarket mods and dealer warranty? I've read that if the problem with your car can be connected to your mods your warranty is void. Other wise it's okay, The Magnuson-Moss Warranty ACT states": BAsically says that it is illegal for manufacturers to void warranty if the problem wasn't due to the aftermarket parts! Please share info!

Never had a problem with my mods personally. People at my dealership are actually kind of interested in them. Here's the deal; there are federal laws that state that a dealership CANNOT void your warranty simply because you have aftermarket modifications on your car. The meaning behind "this voids warranty" really is a way of them saying that they do not warranty the aftermarket part(S). Just don't go altering the vehicle, i.e. Nitrous, or Turbo, FI in general. Isn't there a stickied thread about warranty in one of the threads

I haven't really had any problems.. the service manager is cool. He loves my car actually. I hear so many stories on here about terrible dealers... I must be lucky to have a good one

I have to go to certain places too. I don't have a bodykit, but the car is pretty low. Some places aren't equipped to handle lowered vehicles.
