i ordered it from tornactive.com and it cost $199.99 which was the best price i could find but once i got it i found out why, it is the gp version according to the site which i think means km/h instead of mph but i have gotten used to it now and it's actually kind of cool because when someone else gets in the car their like "what thw fuck, we're going 100, 110, 120, 150?!" and i actually makes it seem faster, 100 km is 60 mils, an 150 is 90.
i also ordered the mounting bracket and g-sensor so it cost me right at 300 total w/shipping, took about a week for them to get all of it in stock and the about 3 days to ship
i really like it because it cut off my speed limiter which i wasn't expecting.

Yeah, I've always wondered what those things were for.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaah...RSM is Rev Speed Meter which basically means it takes the place of your current speedo and tach...also has a few other neat features like the G-sensor that he mentioned.

it tels you spead, rpms, volts, with g sensor it can tell you front/rear and right/left Gs. it also can recored 0-100km/h, -200km/h, 300km/h; and 0-100m, -200m, -400m. its all in metric.

i don't think i saw any that were english units my friend has one its pretty cool

I love that thing, but the only thing I despise about it are those big ass hunky wires that come out the back, they are an eyesore when you mount the thing in the open, now if you do what I did w/ mine and mount it into your dash, you'll be cool. I just made a Fiberglass housing for it.

It's pretty cool, but with where you have it positioned to replace the stock speedo., that's gotta be hard as hell to read your speed while driving.. could be dangerous

Yeah the RSM is a pretty cool little gadget. I've had mine for a while and I still love it. To answer the question of what it does: in all honesty, it does nothing at all that I wouldnt have been able to tell with the stock gauges (but that's b/c I dont have the G-sensor yet) It's basically just a cool toy.

I've moved it though, it was nice in that spot, but it was not very sturdy, so I bought the $20 stand and put it behind my steering wheel BUT, its not like the other guy's, where mine is, I can still see all my factory gauges and the only thing hidden from me is the odometer, which is perfectly visibly if I just lean forward in my seat a little. I'll get some pictures of the new spot.


To the thread starter: Where'd you get the G-Sensor?

and as far as where i positioned it, it's dangerous because it tells me my speed thats why i got it, the person who owned the car before me put in the white face gauges but they are not correct, depending on what speed it can be up to 15 mph off, so thats why i placed it there

hey i need to ask something, if the st celi comes with 110 stock, at the flywheel i'm assuming, and i have a short ram install and str8 pipes how much HP do yo think i have round about, i was guessing i'ld be lucky to have 100, because it's at 175,000k miles, what do you think

looks good, but appearance-wise it would be much cleaner if you could find a way to hide those wires and still retain functionality

seems like if you are going to get something like that...remove the original gauges...and custom fit that in there...looks kind of unprofessional...

actually i am, but there are several reasons why haven't yet, 1:i am using my original speedo to translate km/h to mph (the orig. speedo has both) and the RSM mount lets me just fold it down, 2:becaus of the whole odometer thing, 3:i know yo can get a new one and new gas and engine temp gauges, but i don't have the time or money to worry about that now, plus i am having a hard time finding ones that match and that i like, it will be a lot of work to relocate nd rewire all of the alert lights aswell (brake, brights, door ajar, and plus all the check engine lights and things like that, i am working on it a little at a time, so just be patient, right now i am moving the blinkers to the two leds right below my gauges and moving my alarm led to on top of my dash somewhere thats more noticable at night when it flashes but looks clean when in daylight

Are you sure you have your settings right?

yea that thing looks like its a good 700 RPMs off what it should be, which can definitly be a problem when racing

yes, both the rsm and the aftermarket tach are wired directly to the ecu, the stock tach is off because the aftermarket gauge faces that where put in by the previous owner were cheap and don't match up, when my car is at idle the stock tach is at 0 and if i rev until the rev limiter kicks in the stock tack only gets to 6k
