if anything, it makes you loose hp because it restricts air flow...
the dynos that they have to show that there was an HP gain was done on the same car at 2 different temps. 1st with COLD engine which 5-15 hp less and 2nd with warm engine with that 5-15 gained back... Don't quote me on that but I was told this was a ssssSCCAM

All it looks like to me is a "fan" assembly in the intake hose. Fan spins, creates suction. Of course I'm sure it is limited by the blade design and friction before the fan reached max suction (just wanted to say that) Or all the thing is doin' is spinning the air as it goes through the pipe. Just tryin' to figure out what this thing does...

no, a fan spinning FROM air flow, will not speed up THE SAME air or cause any suction, the only thing it will do is impede the air flow because you are decreasing the speed of the air by making that energy from the intake airflow spin a turbine.. to move the turbine the air is being impeded and transferring it's energy to the turbine, which spins the turbine and slows down the airflow, that's just basic physics, (it's like trying to lift something using it's own weight.. it just won't work, simple laws of thermal dynamics. Energy transferred can never be 100% efficient because you lose energy through heat, sound, and friction, Law of deminishing returns, it's why a perpetual motion machine is impossible). There is no way this thing does anything, you can't PUSH air with a FAN that is USING the air you are trying to push to spin itself... The reason a turbo works is because it's using WASTED air flow (exhaust) to power the turbo.. you can't just stick a spinning fan in your intake and use airflow to spin a fan, anyone who has ever taken ANY physics class should be laughing at this idea. The web site is designed to sound like they know what they are saying to people with no clue, but they are totally full of it. This is like pseudo science BS...
Think of it this way.. could you make a twin engine jet fly faster by putting an UNPOWERED fan on the front it?... NO [ 05-12-2003, 10:59 PM: Message edited by: FX-MAN ]
