i read on the installs about this little switch earlier today. so before work i headed over to the local honda dealer, and picked myself up an s2000 antenna for 20 bucks. i went out to the car and unscrewed the stock antenna and was about to screw my new one in when i ran into a problem. threads are sticking up from the car and threads are sticking out of the antenna. did i unscrew the wrong part from the car or what? i screwed off the thick little peice that is connected to the antenna itself. i hope someone has some insight for me.

You just unscrew the stock antenna at the base, so you should be left with a space at the top of the black base, where you screw the s2000 one into. Got any pics of the current situation?

I know this is a Power Anntenna but the circled part is the only part that should come off.
Edit: Picture, hold on.

ahhhhh it appearsnot only am i dumb today but blind as well The only part you forgot to take out was the last peice... Don't use pliers unless you put a cloth over the remaining peice. Unless youll never use the rod again.
