www.crutchfield.com [
crutchfield.com] ... the best place to get great service and electronic equiptment. I've been ordering from them for 3 years now. Never gone wrong with there service.
When you take out your stock stereo there will be two connector you have to undo. A gray and black one I believe, can't remember the colors. These are the harnesses. They just hold a bunch of wires for ease of connecting and removing.
When buying a aftrermarket stereo they have to make it universal so they don't have to include the special connectors for each type of car.
Typically you would pull out your stock amp and bypass it...but that's only if you are redoing your entire system.
What crutchfield does is to give you the harnesses for your car free with your purchase and then all you have to do is a little bit of soldering with the provided harness to the aftermaket headunit and your all set. No cutting wires in the car. Simply plug and play.
They give you full directions so there's no guess work. You just have to match up the right wires...which is really simple.
