I think it might be time for a new clutch at 55K. Not sure tho, anyone know the signs of a weared out clutch?

Hmm. not too sure too. I just got mine replace (after 45K mile on it, but I bought it used with 45K miles on it), only because when I took it to the dealer for a tranny concern, they told me that I needed to change the clutch.
I couldn't really tell, but since they were not going to charge for labor, I only paid around $300 for the clutch.

i need to get a new clutch on my car =[ you can tell if your rpms rise fast in higher gears with your mph barly changing
ex) 4th gear reving at 3 gran floor it and if your rpm go up fast to 4 the drop a little then go up again then it is time for a new clutch. other wise don't keep doin that cause it strains the motor from what i heard. (if you understand what i said at all cause i am terrible at explaining things) also if your car has 12k or less miles then you might be able to get it under warrenty cause it is a wear part so they don't warrenty it up to 36k good luck thumbsup

The factory clutch is a really good clutch. Anything more would be overkill and shorten the life of your clutch. More is always better except when you buy a clutch. Remember that.

As for signs of a bad clutch, your clutch will engage when the pedal is almost all the way releases. With a new clutch, you let the pedal go about an inch and the clutch engages. It takes some getting used to, trust me.

Also, your RPM's will rise a lot faster without your car accelerating fast. In other words, your RPM's will climb high while you are still going like 2 MPH.

Also, if your clutch is really shitty, when at really high RPM's, your clutch may slip all together and your car will redline without you going anywhere.

I knew I needed a new clutch when my RPM were reving high but my speed beraly increase.. I lost power in all my power gears. (1st 2nd and 3rd) Its horible.. if your car is doing that.. then you should drive your car like a lady cause that clutch will burn out at any minute.. I didn't so thats why my car is still at the shop!.. wave

Whatever you get, don't get a pucked clutch or a clutch that is meant for the friggin space shuttle.
