it's possible...and there are Turbo GTS'. There was a problem though with the Turbo's available at the time not being able to work on the '03+ celicas, due to Drive By Wire. Though I believe the SF Turbo for the GTS works for it as well.

lol my teamates kit put down 250 whp with the stafford kit.
also the stafford kit works with the 03 DBW!

XS kit is not as strong and is very unreliable.

yes it is possible, but less companies do Turbos for GT's, although you could just go custom...

You can Turbo any combustion engine. You can Turbo your lawnmower if you wanted. The real question is reliability.

There have been horror stories about the XS kit. Some of the others have seemingly had less complaints. Just like any mod, there is a chance something could go wrong if it's not done correctly.

stock internals smile
and no boost controller yet so hes stuck at 6 down low and 7.5 from 6500 - 8700 rpms. once we get it worked out he'll be running 8psi all the way.

After another hour of tuning we almost hit 280 whp with the stafford kit. I'll post a new thread once he scans in the dyno sheet wink

the big diff between the XS and the SF kit is the SF kit uses stock ECU and the XS kit uses the power fc. SF kit + power FC = mad ownage smile

with the 250 whp tuning he ran 13.6 @ 3000 ft elevation. so he should be in the 12's easily with a good launch now smile

yeah the gt is actually more potent to Turbo cause it has natural low compression which is desiarable to a FI car

i've been reading something about problems with xs engi + pfc conflicting with a cars drive by wire that are 03+

i know the sf Turbo will work on all years, but was wondering if the pfc will work too? since it won't work with the xs engi on 03+ cars..

The big reason the XS kit cant work on an 03 is because of the power fc. the power fc cannot fit into an 03 and it doesnt control the DBW setup wink

Stafford was smart enough to design a base setup that would work on ANY year smile however we've already shown that with the power FC added the sf kit can put down more power then the xs kit thumbsup one more reason I stand behind the stafford kit.

sorry, but i still can't seem to find the answer i'm looking for frown

i know the stafford Turbo will work on any year model, but my question now is: will the stafford Turbo/pfc combo work on an 03+, or would it have the same problem with dbw as the xs.turbo/pfc combo?

wave I answered your question. the power FC does not fit onto an 03 so how on earth could you have the power fc + Turbo?

thier base Turbo package DOES work on the 03 though cause they use the stock ECU thumbsup

So wierd how Toyota changes the Celica so us 03+ owners can't expericnce the power of the Turbo with a Power FC, or can we? Might have to call the company up one of these days to find out.
