Filter will do SOME good, but you can't really put it in the same league as an entire Intake. I have a k&n filter and I love it. It'll last the entire life of your car, too (no more replacing filters.. just clean it when needed)

I got a TRD filter and IMO it SUCKS! You hear nothing different and you feel no difference..well i guess you sorta do, to me it felt a little smoother at some time. Getting ready to order a short-ram though. Why can't you get an Intake?

just get Intake or spend your money on something else...
the only thing good about a K&N filter is that you never have to buy a new air filter.

Getting ready to order a short-ram though. Why can't you get an Intake? when talking about such small power increments (1 or 2 whp) you can't 'feel' anything different, even though there is a very slight difference. if you do 'feel' a difference..it's due to driver bias (you know you have a power mod, therefore you 'feel' the extra power, even though it's impossible to).

yep Im only 16. Car is still under parents name. I pretty much own the car but like is truely theirs. My mom dosnt want me doin anything to my car. My dad thinks visual stuff is ok. He thinks Performance mods will encouage me to race. Which I dont do? It took me like 2 weeks just to get my rims. At least i got the exhaust when I got the car. So the filter will give 1-2 whp???

i got a used trd filter for cheap a while back, and with the trd exhaust, it does make it a little louder. slightly noticable, if you dont have the money for an Intake, just get a filter.

I was told to get the K&N filter temporarily till i can afford the Intake(which may take a while!) Anyways i just put it in tonight and is that ever different from my last car! my last car was a shit box and all you had to do was unscrew a wing nut and plunk the new filter in...this one took a little more time and effort. It was the first thing i have done to my car myself since i got it and it took a bit but once i figured out where it was and how to unhook everything it went fine. I probably should have looked everything up on how to do it first but i just couldn't wait to get my hands dirty!

I noticed a slightly deeper tone when I had my TRD air filter. Personally I don't think that its worth the $$$ though

dont spend the money on a filter, just get a visual mod instead. then when you can get a CAI/SRI then get that. dont waste your money on something that will help you only very slightly
