I guess I never got around to posting some pics of my trunk setup. These are custom mdf/fiberglass boxes, front and sides are mdf, rear is Fiberglass molded to the trunk plastics.
To the right a 2.4Farad Powercap, to the left a gamecube My old 17" kosei RT maxi is in the bottom, covering up my SONY amp. Still need to dynamat and make the wires neat.
I like it man! How do you like your explods? I've been thinking about getting some. And how big of an amp do you have pushing them?
I'm not really an audiophile, but I really like them. Very solid bass. I have a Sony 2x200 Watts RMS monoblock underneath my 'spare'. The powercap was really needed btw.
i have those same subs on the black pentagon 1600 watt xplod amp and it pounds them so hard. it pushes 900 watts rms which is like 100 more per sub than they're supposed to handle. its ridiculously loud. i'm gonna try to get a better setup in the trunk though... somethin like you've done. looks good.

looking good..great setup, but does it rattle a lot wo the dynamat??
To be honest, it doesn't. The only thing that rattles was my rear number plate, I put some stuff between to stop it from rattling. I want to dynamat it, but it's so f*ckin expensive..
its nice and creative, but i think it will look much better if you Fiberglass it so it wont show any wires and you wont have a furry box
but dont take it thr wrong way i do like it, im really diggin it when people have their setup like that, like 1 sub on each side, much better than the conventianal rectangular box

Good point, that was already on my wishlist for the future, but I gave other stuff a higher priority for now The subs will be turned a bit more to the front and the entire thing will be Fiberglassed, probably a winterproject
