just called my local dealership...it took me a while to explain that guy what i need, but after he finally understood what bolts im talking about, he said that they would not do it unless i diagnose my car and the damn computer tells them to replace it... wtf

anyways, anyone did this before? would i be able to change them on my own or how much would a dealership usually charge for changing them... my car is still lifting so i guess they are still good...but i have around 55k now and want to change them. thanks.

you can at least check them yourself with this guide: lift bolt inspection/replacement [teamcelica.com].

my dealer gave me the same answer but after i purchased the newer version i wanted to try and to it myself. once i got the valve cover off (easy with the right tools) i found and replaced the Intake lift bolt which was worn and i removed the broken exhaust lift bolt while the remaining piece was left stuck. i took my car to the same dealer and showed them the worn and broken pieces and they appropriately fixed them the next day.
