I have an old 1988 Camry, my friend and i were thinking about doing an engine swap. Currently is has a 4cyl auto. Does anybody know if a 88 V6 would fit? Or maybe an older celica engine? rolleyes If anybody knows please help me. Thanx

ehhh. i dunno, but i wana say no. ?
you'd need to reposition motor mounts.. or something.
maybe realign other things?
new tranny?
refab to fit new stuff.
i want a 3sgte =(

it may be a v6, but its not a high Performance engine, if thats what youre looking for. its a family car.

Ask someone who WORKS on toyotas and mod-ding them. where do you live, there's gotta be a shop with some import mechanics yo, they'll know the illest option, peace

the 1mzfe will probably fit, also if your doing the work yourself the 3sgte or the 4agze will fit but then again if you want to go all out the 7mgte will fit

well its a pretty decently sized bay...you could MAKE most anything fit...but if you want it to bolt in thats another story...but i dont know if it would be worth the time and money...unless your just bored and are looking for somthing to do and have a good amount of time and cash to spend...otherwise save up and get another car

but what do i know..im doing a 3sgte swap in my mr2 soon smile
