I'm looking at buying a set of 17" rims and tires, but I do not know what size of tire to get. I know a lot of you have 17" and even 18" tires on. Which tire size would make the smallest change in the speedomitor and mileage?

from what i gather, the most recommended tire size for 17" is 225/25/17.

I have 205/40's on mine, but I wish I got the 215/45's. Check out www.tires.com [tires.com] for good prices. I received my tires a few days after I ordered them. Hope this helps... thumbsup

225/25/17 can't be right. That's way too small of a profile. That's a rubber band.

215/45/17 is common, 205/40/17 as well.

Check out this link to see which size is close to the original wheel diameter.

If I got the calculator correct it is telling me that 205/45R17 and 225/35R18 are the best fit for the Celica. Thank you for the help. Now the question is where would be the best place to buy/look at prices?

I think you should go with 215/40/17. My old 17s had 215/30/17 and they here like rubber bands.
