i am planing to get new tire rim package. i am thinking about 18's , my car is lowered by ground control coilovers , i talked to a guy at the discountires and he told me i should go with 215-35-18's , i asked him about 225-40-18's and 225-35-18 and he said they will rub so i am really confused
in here who have lowered their cars just go with 215-35-18's or what are other suggestions? i dont want to pay for a tire which is gonna rub and will not gonna with
thanks to everyone

225 will not rub, the guy is full of crap. Tires have nothing to do w/rubbing, it's the offset on your wheels that causes rubbing.
Go with a 225/40 if you want a less expensive tire and it'll provide a smoother ride. Go with a 225/35 if you want the really low profile sidewall, but it'll cost more than the 225/40.

you'll be fine with a 42 offset and I only have a one finger gap front & rear & i've never rubbed, but then again mine are only 215/35, but I doubt that 10 mm will make a big difference.

I went with the 215/35/18's. They are great. obviously no rub and the ride is fine IMO. I have no body kit yet but have 2.4" drop rear and 1.8" front
