I get a troubling noise sometimes when I touch the brake at low speed. When I'm just coasting down my driveway, slightly downhill, and press the brake pedal to stop at the street, there is a slight "clunk" sound. I can only hear it when barely moving with the engine idling or almost idling. I'm about ready to take it to the dealer as the warranty is good for a couple of more months. But has anyone else experienced this and/or have an idea of what's going on? Thanks.

that clunk noise is very normal. this is not a celica issue, a lot of cars have this. ull hear other cars have the same problem. actually i assume 20% of all cars out there have the same noise problem, its not a problem though. everything is fine. this noise can go away when you change ur brake pads. sometimes it makes this noise because of the material the brake pad is made with. there are brake pads made with different stuffs, i dont remember which one is which... someone could probably tell you different types of pads that exist

there is a TSB about this.

If you don't like it, it can be fixed. I had it fixed on my car, they apply grease to the pad/caliper
