If you have a GT, you could get a GTS motor OR you could get a turbo for your GT.

Yes they do. It is by XS engineering. More will be coming out very soon.

NOS, there are a lot of different ways to up the power of your Celica. An engine swap is one of them, but it's going to take a lot of money. A cobra engine swap would take more than what you paid for your celica. Search this forum, you should find a lot of helpful information. And if you have any more questions, don't be afraid to post. We all started somewhere.

They put a '03 cobra engine in a Ford Focus, so you could do that, although you still wouldn't have the good looks of the celica. You'd have one damn fast car though:)

The Cobra engine by itself is $12,000.00, so you might find it a bit cheaper to go with somethign else. grin

I can see that you are getting very aggrevated here JD. lol. rofl

But yea NOS, I don't know much about engine swaps, but I do know that if you want one that will be good, it will cost lots of money. Then you have to buy mods to put on it, so you are looking at a lot.
I've sort of been thinking about going to a junkyard and buying a cheapo motor, and start doing some mods on it while it sits in the garage. Build it up from scratch. You could always do that.

IMO engine swapping is nutz.. you can't do it for under 10K, and the best you can do is around 200whp.. why bother? If you have that sorta cash just get a Blitz supercharger... you would be right around 200whp right there, you would be toe to toe with a WRX and dust an RSX type-S. The XS turbo will get you more power than the Blitz but it's not a long tested product like the Blitz supercharger. Either way you need to worry about the compression since you have a GTS... don't know.. If you had money to burn on upgrades, a GT would have been a better buy I think.. If I were you, I would trade your GTS for a GT and put the difference into the DD Turbo.. 200whp right there and you would probably break even with the finances (instead of dropping 10-20K on an engine swap).

Surprisingly, the SVT Cobras V8 fits snugly in the Focus engine bay, transforming it into a rear-wheel Viper fighter.

Yes, thats the underside of a Focus. There is so much space for the driveshaft, ATI believes this is no coincidence.
still the Cobra will not fit on a Celica Engine Bay... cheers
