k well it only makes a squeeking noise when im shifting from 1st to 2nd and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd. kinda sounds like i have a Turbo or something but its not as loud... its buggin the shit out of me. anyone know what that is and wat i can do to make it stop???

have you loop up ur shift link?? people said use lithium grease to loop it up..so, try that and good luck..

do you have an Intake of some sort...i thought i heard the same thing too..turned out to be my Intake whenever i shift gears it would make a swoosh type of sound or it could be the shift link

nope no Intake. i just have an exhaust...

Lube, as in lubricate, your shift linkage. if you are still confused, take it your mechanic. smile

Shift linkage. I drove a loner Celica that did that. Kinda funny.

Do you have a system? Could be a bad ground...or RCA's running by your power wires.

Just lubricate your linkage bushings.

how many miles and does it squeak at idle when it rains. if so it may be yoru belt tensioner
