People in the know will think your car is really gay. Might as well add some neon washer lights and a neon liscence plate while you're at it. Debadged would be clean, and I agree with a VVT-T decal.

We're worked up because ALL of us who own Celica's look like ricers after people do crap like that. Plus, it makes those of us who actually PAID for a GTS look bad.

but to defend the kid on the first post...he had a question about a celica and whether or not misbadge his car...let him do what he wants...his car not ours...only some people can spot the differences

why not sell you car, buy an auto civic DX, and with all the money you get from doing that you buy lots and lots of emblems. you can get a GTS emblem and put it on your civic, a GTR emblem, a mustang GT, or mustang cobra emblem, but for the fucking sake of god DONT FUCKING PUT A GTS EMLBEM ON YOUR AUTO GT

anyway, my 2 cents: the auto gts are slow anyway. manual gts can take an auto gts by over 2 secs in the 1/4th...soooo, even having a 'real' gts doenst mean you are fast.

my 4 cents: even the manual gts celicas are slow. i have one myself..and while they are faster than most things on the road and while they are fast for a 4 cylinder..the fact is that most actual sports cars can beat any type of celica.

No difference between euro gt and gts except for the engine, tach (8200 redline)and the little T-Sport badge on the back of the car. The T-sport has a option of choosing the interior trim color (blue, red or black) while the normal (GT) celica has only one interior color (black).

But why wrong badge something?

Just take all the badges off.

I hope you've learnt a lot from this thread bojoe. Don't misbadge your car, debadge it. It'll look a lot cleaner and better imo. I have a GT and I'm not ashamed of it in the least. Even if I had a GTS, it would be debadged so that's the way to go. DEBADGE, don't MISREPRESENT.

Of course I don't expect a girl to go out with me just because I own a GTS, but I'm sure it will help. Everything adds up. If a girl is borderline in deciding if she wants to date me, owning a GTS might just sway her to the yes side.

we have sportshift and you can tell by the shifter that auto gts has a slot for an "m mode" and our steering wheel have upshift and downshift buttons

I might not know as much about cars as you, but I'm sure I know a lot more than you in other things. I can play the guitar really well (my band performed in front of 3,000 people) and I'm also a junior at one of the best universities in America majoring in electrical engineering. Do you know how much EE majors make out of college? over 50K a year starting. So in like 5 years I'll be driving an M3, while you'll still be driving your celica.


You also said girls don't care about money, but common you know thats not true. Look at any rich guy, no matter how boring or ugly he might be, he usually has the hottest wife ever. For guys the most important thing in a girl is looks, but girls say the most important quality in guys is personality. And by personality they mean how much bling bling he has.

I'm sure even an adolescent understands that financial security can only be beneficial toward one's future, however I make it a policy to never let my dates know I am well off until we're much further in the relationship. Take it from someone who's been around the block a few times - women who are interested in you for your money are shallow and usually bereft of any charm or personality. Sure they may look stunning, however that gets old very quickly. Personally, I prefer someone more genuine with intelligence and looks. Luckily, my fiance and I are both physicians and she fits my criteria nicely -

What car would they put the m3 badge on? a 330ci? that car is still 35k or so and it looks different. If they put the badge on their civics I could get careless since everyone will know that its not an m3.

Don't compare an EE major from a community college/devry type school to an EE major from UC Berkeley (where I go). They are worlds apart.

Dude, just goto any forum on the internet related with cars. Goto a mustang forum, say you have a mustang V6, and you want to put GT or cobra badges on. Goto another celica site, and say you have a GT and want to put GTS badges on. Goto any wrx forum, say you have a wrx, but you want to put STI badges on. You will get the same answer, 'you are a ricer, its stupid to badge your car as something its not'. To some people, they cant tell the difference. To the people that can, it pisses them off.

And I never said that my schooling was better than yours, i was just saying i had EE schooling as well...geeze.

I agree, my teacher along with anyone I talk to in the electonics field said the reason they picked EE was because they were lazy, and its very easy. Mind you I have a friend that does digital electronics for HP and and one that works for Intel, along with some that do industrial electronics for many tool & die companies around here. So it just goes to show that it doesnt take a UC berkley diploma to get great paying jobs in the EE field.

Oh yeah, I've played the guitar for almost 7 years, so stfu, ITS not that hard either.
