hey im getting a system, and I was wondering does the stock cd player have RCA outputs or what? (im lazy and dont want to take it out and look yet)

also are there any good places for switches for the remote for the amp? what do most people do? i want to be able to cut it on and off with ease

There are no preouts on the factory deck. They have to wire amps to it with actual speaker wire if they hook one up. That's how mine is now, so when I get my deck I'm going to need to rerun RCA cables.

As far as a switch for the amp... you could really put it anywhere. If you have the action package (meaning no fogs) there is a dead switch next to your window lock button. Otherwise, you could put the switch in your center console or in your ashtray (many people have done the ashtray one).

you need to buy a step down and splice off your factory rear speakers, or if your amp has a high volt input you can plug the splices right into the amp..good luck

what is a step down and how much are they

i was planning on just running wires from the back of the head unit..is that a bad idea?
