I was planning on getting black rims on my black celi. They have a silver lip and cap. My friend says it will look like a spare tire. What are your feelings of black on black
This is getting to be such a popular thing for the Celica, which kind of sucks
I just made a thread yesterday in the multimedia section asking for people to post up their cars with black rims and silver lip.. check it out. It's the color scheme I plan on going for myself.

Yea but everyone on here is so spread out. If we all lived in the same city it would suck but i hardly ever see another modded celica. I think ive seen about 4 just on the streets that were modded.
Why worry about what everyone else does? Do what you think look best for you. So what if there are tons of action package around my area. I like it and that's why I bought it. Same goes for rims. No matter what you do, someone somewhere is doing the same thing.
Really BAD reality TV is the reason I stopped watching MTV.

Because it's nice to have more variety and be a bit differant, but generally I do agree.. if you like it then who gives a shit what anyone else thinks or who else has it.

The black Celi w/black rims and tinting was my initial vision for what I wanted. It looks good when the car is debadged and everything is just black.
After seeing a couple other people's pix, I felt like I could not make out enough wheel detail for nice wheels to really be set off. After back and forthing for a while I opted for silver wheels (Enkei RS6) and installed some fine silver mesh in the front grill. So, black with some silver trim is how I eneded up.

I AGREE!!!! IT'S YOUR CAR!!!! I think it's the same as the way you like to dress!!! It's A R T But we use a car instead of paper!Go for it! I have a white one w/a couple things on blue (some people say: "I like it" ... some others: "That's awful" ... I DON'T CARE... ) I'm planning to get white rims...
I think they will look great. The only way they would look like the spare wheel, is if you got wheels that are those solid ones with holes everywhere...
i say go with Black rims w/ No polished lip. Simple Black rims, on black celicas with window tint looks really awesome. Also have you considered Bronze on a black celica. That looks awesome too.
