just asking why do you have to have Turbo first?

Because an intercooler cools air that gets heated by the Turbo. Without the Turbo,the intercooler sits there and...is shiny I guess. I'll let one of the Turbo guru's explain it better.

the air goes into the Turbo, then through the intercooler (since the Turbo is hot as fuck) to get cool'd down, then goes into your engine. without the intercooler the air goin to your engine would be way hot, and bad for the motor

kool ok lol so when i get my Turbo i have to get an intercooler to? will it over heat the engine if i dont get it???

You can't buy just a Turbo, you need a Turbo, piping, blow off valve, intercooler,etc. Buy a Turbo kit,it'll have everything,then take it all to a mechanic. Actually, don't get a Turbo, learn about your car first.

^^werd, know the celica...then know the basics before you get a Turbo...basics meaning like an Intake, headers, pullies, VVTL-i/VVT-i, etc... thumbsup
