Celica Forums General Discussion Exterior Sony Xplod help?

hello everyone i need your help i just bought a 12 " sony subwoofer Xs-l121p5 as you can see on the picture below but i need a box (tube) for it. I just don't know how big the tube must be and should i do it like A or B with air opening or not ? (sorry for my english)

the tube is porting the sub..u wont need to..

i have da same 12s and i have da box ported to somewhere about 3" diameter and 7" in depth, i took these sizes from the manual(check subs manual 4 da exact measurements)

somethin you should know is a ported box gives you a louder boom IN YOUR CAR, but less accurate

and a sealed box gives you deeper bass and accurate for those who have crazy beats like techno and hip-hop

if you like to bump in the street go sealed and if you like it louder but only inside your car go ported or even bandpass = its sealed and ported
